Irish America & the American South

As a PhD student at North Carolina State University, my research focuses on Irish Americans organizing for the Friends of Irish Freedom in the U.S. South during the Irish Revolution (1912-1923).

I am interested in how Irish American Southerners during this period viewed themselves & their place in history: as American, as Southern, and as Irish.

With a particular interest in public history, my goal is to enrich local histories in the South, and to broaden the story of American impact on the Irish Revolution.
